15 December 2015 – St. Augustine’s School, located almost 30km from Kuching City, is nestled in the tranquillity of Mambong near to CMS Clinker plant. The school lost all their books in a fire in October 2009. The library now has very little books. CMS employees got together and donated a total of 423 storybooks to the schools hoping to inspire reading interest among their younger school students. The books were received by Mr Lawrence, Principal of St. Augustine’s School who was grateful for CMS continuous support for the school.
The school library is still lacking reading materials suitable for primary school students. To those who would like to donate more English and Bahasa Malaysia storybooks, please contact CMS Group Corporate Communications at CMS Head Office.
