Kuching (Sarawak), Friday, 15 July 2016 – Ready your running gears, train and prepare for upcoming CMS Tribal Run 2.0! Bearing the tagline of ‘Run for a Good Cause’, 100% of the entry fees received will be donated to a selected number of Sarawak-based charitable organisations.

Participants are encouraged to “Go Tribal”, dressing creatively to showcase the cultural diversity that forms the solidarity and community which Sarawak is built on. Prizes will be given to the top five ‘Most Creatively Dressed Male and Female’ runners.

Entry fees for the 5km Fun Run is RM45.00 and RM50.00 for the 10km Competitive Race, both of which include a specially-designed Brooks t-shirt and Finisher’s Medal. While the 5km category is a fun run, the top 10 men and women finishers for the 10km Race will receive a prize.

Flag-off time :          6.30am for 10km & 7.00am for 5km

Categories     :         Men Open and Women Open (5km Fun Run and 10km Competitive Race)

Interested individuals may download the Entry Form from Cahya Mata Sarawak’s website at Registration will close on Sunday, 7 August 2016 or upon reaching 2,500 registrants, whichever comes first. Apart from race and best outfit prizes, there will be many lucky draws for grabs.

Corporations that are showing their support by are sending their staff to participate in this charitable event are Jurutera Minsar, Yung Kong Co. Bhd, Sarawak Economic Development Corporation, Sarawak Concrete Industries Berhad, to name a few.

Endorsing the event, Group Managing Director of CMS, Dato’ Richard Curtis said, “In 2015, a total of 2,200 Kuchingnites participated in the CMS Tribal Run, resulting in a sum of RM103,104.00 being donated to eight local charities. The encouraging participation from the first time we opened this run to the public displayed the community spirit that is prevalent amongst Sarawakians and we hope to be able to attract more runners this year.”

Race packs will be ready for collection on 2nd and 3rd September 2016 at the Brooks Outlet, Green Heights Mall between 11.00 am – 7.00 pm. Payment slip must be presented for collection of race pack.
