Samalaju Lodge marks Labour Day with workers event |
Wednesday, 9 May 2012, Bintulu – Samalaju Property Development’s commitment to provide opportunities for the 3,000 workers involved in the construction of factories in Samalaju Industrial Park to interact with each other and strengthen the spirit of camaraderie within the Samalaju Lodge community received a boost with the month long celebration held at the Lodge that culminated on National Labour Day on May 1, 2012.
The workers’ event organised in co-operation with the Lodge Operator, Jaya Front Management & Services involved activities for all the workers which included games, refreshments, competitions, music and entertainment.
Commenting on the event, Samalaju Property Development’s General Manager, Goh Chii Yew said, "This Labour Day celebration is held to recognise the contribution of 3,000 workers from 10 different countries to the organisation's success hence to the industries located at Samalaju Industrial Park, Bintulu”.
Samalaju Property Development, a subsidiary company of Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad provides accommodation along with management services for construction workers and executives staying at the Samalaju Lodge.

Saturday, April 28, 2012, Kuching - It started with a plot of land, an empty canvas. Next, a hole was dug and a form was constructed, in which concrete was poured. Then brick by brick, held together by mortar, a foundation was created. It was just simply bricks stacked in the correct order. Yet, a foundation is essential to support the weight of the home erected on top of it.

Sunday, 29 April 2012, Kuching - PERKATA Open Day is a major annual activity of the association and one of the main channels for the organisation is to raise funds for the operation of its school. Last Sunday’s fundraising event saw 100-odd CMS employees setting up 7 stalls which started as early as 7am.
