PPES Works (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 1990 and is CMS' main construction arm. The company has played a key role in Sarawak's rapid infrastructure development, and continues to do so today. PPES Works has built up a wealth of experience in managing and implementing multi-million dollar projects. It undertakes civil engineering, building and utilities work, roads construction and maintenance, bridges and water-related projects. PPES Works is 51% owned by CMS and 49% owned by Government agency, Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC).

CMS Roads Sdn Bhd maintains over 4,000 km of roads throughout Sarawak under a 15-year concession awarded by the State Government. The Group maintains a further 600 km of Federal roads in Sarawak under another concession. Using an internationally recognized road management and maintenance system, CMS Roads’ scope of work includes maintenance and repair of road surfaces as well as road markings and furnishings such as signages and lightings.
