Group Chairman, Non-Executive Director

YAM Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Syed Anwar Jamalullail is the Group Chairman of CMS, having been appointed to the Board on 10 May 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Accounting) degree from Macquarie University, Australia and is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Practising Accountant of Australia. He began his career as a financial accountant with Malaysia Airlines System Berhad in 1975 and has worked for Price Waterhouse (Australia), D&C Nomura Merchant Bank Berhad, Amanah Merchant Bank Berhad and Amanah Capital Partners Berhad as its Group Managing Director. Tan Sri Syed Anwar has also served as Chairman of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad, Media Prima Berhad, DRB-HICOM Berhad and EON Capital Berhad, as well as a director of Maxis Communications Berhad. Tan Sri Syed Anwar was the former Chairman of the Investment Panel of Lembaga Urusan Tabung Haji. Apart from CMS, Tan Sri Syed Anwar is currently Chairman of Nestle (M) Berhad.
