Group Deputy Chairman, Non-Independent, Non-Executive Director

Dato Sri Mahmud Abu Bekir Taib is Group Deputy Chairman of CMS. He was appointed to the Board of CMS as Group Executive Director in January 1995. Having pursued his tertiary education in USA and Canada, Dato Sri Mahmud has extensive experience in the stock-broking and corporate sectors. He was a founding member of Sarawak Securities Sdn Bhd, Sarawak's first stock-broking company which is now merged with K&N Kenanga Holdings Berhad. Dato Sri Mahmud is currently Chairman of Sarawak Cable Berhad, and is a director of CMS subsidiaries in construction, construction materials, financial services and property development, as well as several other private companies.
