On 29 December 2005, Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd ("CMS" or "the Company") issued RM400 Million CMS Income Securities for the purposes of refinancing existing group borrowings and for working capital requirement. The CMS Income Securities consists of:
(a) RM400,000 Non-Convertible Redeemable Preference Shares ("NCRPS") consisting of 400 NCRPS of RM1.00 each issued at RM1,000 each, with;
(b) RM399,600,000 bonds consisting of 400 fixed rate coupon bearing serial bonds of RM999,000 each ("Bonds") linked thereto.
Pursuant to Paragraph 9.19(38) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Board of Directors of CMS wishes to announce that seventy (70) of the said NCRPS have been redeemed on 29 December 2009. The redemption was effected out of profits and out of monies in the share premium account.
