We refer to the Company’s announcements dated 7 August 2007, 15 November 2007, 6 February 2008, 7 May 2008, 7 August 2008, 30 September 2008, 31 October 2008, 7 November 2008, 28 November 2008, 30 January 2009, 6 February 2009, 27 February 2009, 7 May 2009, 7 August 2009, 30 September 2009, 6 November 2009 and 30 November 2009 respectively pertaining to the Heads of Agreement ("HoA") signed between Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad ("CMSB" or "the Company") and Rio Tinto Aluminium (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd on the proposed design, engineering, construction, commissioning and operation in Sarawak of an aluminium smelter.
CMSB wishes to announce that both parties have mutually agreed to extend the HoA to 31 March 2010.
