Responsibilities:

  • To plan, organize & control resources & schedules so as to complete projects within established parameters of quality, time & approved cost.
  • To formulate, plan & schedule so as to prepare for cost & financial planning, manpower & resources planning & sub-contracting planning
  • To Lead the team in Liaising and Resolving Issues between Main Contractor, Consultant and Sub-Contractor Engineers works pertaining to the Progress and Engineering Works in Cost, Workmanship, Quality, Materials and etc.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering/Architectural/Quantity Surveyor
  • Minimum 10 – 15 years of relevant working experience

Executive / Senior Executive, Contracts (Cahya Mata Sarawak Management Services Sdn Bhd)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates & bills of quantities
  • Prepare & vet tender documents & rates rationalisation
  • Prepare tender plans, evaluate tenders & make recommendations for award
  • Prepare Letter of Acceptance & contract documents
  • Post contract administration (progress payment, variation orders, contractual matters, etc)

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Building / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management related disciplines from a recognised college / university
  • Minimum 2-3 years (for Executive) and 5-6 years (for Senior Executive) working experience in Consultant / Contractor firm (pre & post contract)
  • Wiling to travel / being stationed at rural site
  • Familiar with construction contracts such as JKR, PAM
  • Proficient in MS Office – Words, Excel & Powerpoint
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills (particularly in English)
  • Able to work independently whilst being a great team-player

Audit Manager (Cahya Mata Sarawak Management Services Sdn Bhd, Kuching)

Responsibilities:

  • To provide support to Management in managing business risks & maintain cost-effective controls across the Group;
  • To conduct financial, compliance & operational audits across CMSB Group;
  • To carry out risks/control assessments & develop risk-based audit plans;
  • To provide value-added recommendations to achieve the right balance between risks & controls which will contribute to improved business profitability;
  •  Assisting in the planning and preparation of internal/external quality assurance programmes.
  • Successful candidates with high potential or managerial talent may be rotated to line operations after 3-4 years stint as part of management development plan

Requirements:

  • Recognised university degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, QS, IT, MBA or equivalent.
  • Preferably a member of IIAM, MIA, ACCA, CIMA or other recognized professional bodies.
  • Relevant experience (5 years in the internal audit function of a listed entity or public accounting firms preferably in a ‘Big 4’ firm and/or line experience in financial or operations management).
  • Candidates with at least 2 years of managerial experience or candidates who are in the Senior Internal Audit Executive position for at least 5 years.
  • Ability to lead an audit team including planning assignment, resources and execution & staff development.
  • Experience with risk assessment, business process analysis & proven capability to evaluate adequacy of risk management and internal controls.
  • Organised, good interpersonal, problem solving & communication skills, including strong report writing abilities with strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and some knowledge of audit management software
