8 December 2018 – Ten CMS runners participated in the Et Labora Run organised by the Old Josephians Association to raise funds for SMK St. Joseph’s students extra curriculum activities, as well as a reunion for the alumni. The young and old were happy to meet their former classmates, teachers and friends among the 2,000-gathering crowd. They belted out the school’s anthem before being flagged by the Minister for Local Government and Housing, Dr. Sim Hui Hian, who is also the president of Old Josephian Association and alumni of the school.
Some of our CMS runners are alumni of the school too! They were thrilled to support their school’s run. Four of them participated in 10km challenge while the other six ran the 5km course. The drizzle did not dampen the runners’ spirits as they made their way around the designated route, taking in the sights and sounds of the city in the early hours of the morning before finishing back at the school.
CMS contributed RM10,000 for the run and as an appreciation, a special plaque was presented to our Group Internal Auditor, Francis Lou, who received it on behalf of CMS.
