For the 6th year running, CMS held the launch of its CMS Safety Month today to roll out the month-long programme which includes safety related activities such as trainings/talks by internal and external speakers, site walkabouts to project sites/plants, gotong-royong and recycle day.
During the launch held at Wisma Mahmud, CMS Group Chief Executive Officer – Operations, Mr Goh Chii Bing reminded everyone not to take their health for granted. He said, “We need to control our food intake, exercise and address any stress-related issues. Not only should we be careful at the workplace, we should also practice safety at home.” He also cautioned for us to be vigilant with the recent dengue and rabies cases which are on the rise in the State. The two unfortunate fatalities (in April and June) which involved our staff (flagman) at our Pan Borneo Highway project site is a glaring reminder that safety starts with us (me).
