Combined, CMS Group's quarry operations are the largest producers of crushed stone aggregates (granite, microtonalite, limestone) in Sarawak. Jointly, they account for about 30% of stone aggregates sold in Sarawak, which are suitable for road construction and buildings.
CMS Premix Sdn Bhd and CMS Premix (Miri) Sdn Bhd are Sarawak's leading premix producers supplying high quality asphalt for construction of highways, flyovers and airport runways. The Group owns & operates the only emulsion plants in Sarawak.
CMS’ investments include a 20% shareholding in Main Board-listed steel engineering entity, KKB Engineering Berhad (KKB). Since its inception in 1962 as a steel fabricator, KKB’s business has today diversified and expanded into other steel related engineering and manufacturing activities such as hot-dip galvanizing, civil construction, manufacturing of LPG cylinders and manufacturing of steel pipes and pipe specials. A wholly-owned subsidiary , KKB Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, located in the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park is currently operates a steel water pipe manufacturing plant, steel fabrication plant and in 2008, has commissioned a new hot gip galvanising plant to complement its business activities for the Sabah and nearby market requirements. KKB Group is also supported by a branch office in Kuala Lumpur.
