Solid Foundation for Carmelite Monastery

5 February 2017 – Over 100 CMS Quarries and CMS Premix employees volunteered their three Sundays to carry out rebuilding works at the Carmelite Monastery in Kuching.

In addition, CMS Construction Materials & Trading Division sponsored 5,000 MT quarry waste worth RM55,000.00 used to fill the monastery foundation and compound area.

Built in 1978, the Carmelite Monastery’s building had rot over the years and worsen due to termite infestation.

The rebuilding works were supervised by Auxiliary Bishop Simon Poh with the help of their construction supervisor.
